Substance Abuse Prevention Coalition

Founded in 1983 as the Inter-Association Task Force on Alcohol and Other Substance Abuse Issues, the Coalition of Higher Education Associations for Substance Abuse Prevention (CoHEASAP) is an umbrella organization dedicated to promoting education, prevention, research, networking and national initiatives to help eliminate substance abuse and the problems it causes on college and university campuses.

CoHEASAP develops and promotes National Collegiate Alcohol Awareness Week, as well as a number of campus programming efforts around creating healthy lifestyles and preventing substance abuse.

As a member of CoHEASAP, National Panhellenic Conference (NPC) representatives participate in task force meetings and help share CoHEASAP program information with NPC constituents.
